This Privacy Policy explains what Maya Luxury Braids (“we,” “our”) collects when you book an appointment and how we use it. We try to collect only what's needed to run your appointment, send you reminders, and process your payment.

What we collect

• Contact information — name, phone number, and email — used to confirm your booking and send reminders.
• Appointment information — selected service, add-ons, date and time, any notes you share with us.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal). We never see or store your card number, CVV, or magnetic stripe data. We store only the processor's transaction identifier and the amount.
• Device information — basic technical details (IP address, user agent, push token if you grant permission), used to deliver notifications and prevent abuse.

How we use it

• To confirm your booking and send appointment reminders (24h and 2h before).
• To process your deposit and final balance.
• To follow up after your appointment and request feedback.
• To improve our services. We never sell your personal information.

Marketing communications

We don't send marketing messages unless you opt in. Booking-critical messages (confirmations, reminders, cancellations) are not marketing — those keep flowing as long as you have an active appointment with us.

Who we share with

We share information only with service providers we need to run the business: payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), email and SMS delivery (Twilio, our email provider), and analytics tooling. Each is bound by their own privacy terms and only receives the minimum needed.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for at least 7 years for accounting and tax purposes. Customer profiles and contact information are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

• You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time.
• You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
• You can opt out of marketing emails / SMS at any time.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies for sign-in and to keep your booking state across pages. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Children

We only book children's appointments through a parent or guardian. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children directly.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top of this page when we make changes. If a change is material to how we use your information, we'll notify booked customers by email.
